The Mating Rite – Pip Caulfield and Jeroen Mondrian

When we first started watching this video, we half-expected David Attenborough to emerge and begin discussing the BelAmi boys’ behavior in their natural setting, but that was not to be.

But we did get to see Pip’s attempts at seduction: He attempted romantic first but didn’t elicit enough of a reaction from Jeroen Mondrian, so he switches to a playful approach, which appears to have the desired impact.

After a few minutes of chasing each other around the rocky coasts, Pip Caulfield lets himself be caught and hauled home to finish the mating rite.
